eco Names & Numbers Forum – International
eco is the largest Internet industry association in Europe. The eco Names & Numbers Forum brings together around 160 companies from the Domain industry, out of the total of around 1.000 member companies that have a home at eco. Therefore we offer registries, registrars, resellers and secondary market companies a platform for exchanging big ideas and small business cards.
For our members, we are on location at industry events, we organize workshops, regularly provide up-to-date information and represent the interests of the sector in international committees. Join us, and become a member of one of the largest Domain communities!

The ICANN Studienkreis is organised by Medienstadt Leipzig e.V. / Netcom Institute a NGO recognised At Large Structure under ICANN Bylaws. Established in 1999, the ICANN Studienkreis organizes annual high level expert seminars on subjects, related to Internet Governance and the development of ICANN.

Since 2010 the Domain Name System (DNS) has expanded dramatically, not only fueling competition, choice and innovation, but truly enabling a multi-lingual Internet. There are now more than a 1,500 top-level domains (TLDs), many of which are longer than the traditional two- and three-character (e.g. .com, .edu, .nz, and .org) or are in non-ASCII based scripts – such as Arabic, Cyrillic, and Thai.

During the CENTR Jamboree and the last L&R meeting the possibility of a separate Privacy Group meeting as an “add on” to the upcoming L&R meeting in Stockholm has been discussed. The meeting is not part of the L&R meeting but will be held separately for those who are working on the implementation of the GDPR.
